CHRD® (Certified Human Resources Director)

PROGRAM OBJECTIVE

The CHRD®designation is designed for HR practitioner’s candidate or employed in Top-level Management, Full- or part-time. The CHRD® program is designed to provide advanced level knowledge of HR for management of human resources in a corporation. It offers good blend of theories and practices in the management of human resources to meet the growing demand for competent HR Directors.

The Certified HR Director program is targeted at current Senior Managers upwards who aspire to be in the boardroom and the forefront of business challenges. The program and contents had been developed in consultation with senior functional HR Directors and CEOs combined with international research to deliver a result oriented program.

Globalization, trans-border flow of Human Resource capital, requires HR professional, regardless of rank to increase their personal and professionals credibility to cope with this new landscape. “The Certified HR Director Program”, aims to develop Senior HR Managers to be a true HR partner in advancing and driving business goals and leading the HR functions in the Asia Pacific region more effectively and being result oriented. Those seeking to acquire formal certification will also find this program relevant and rewarding.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet specific educational and work experience criteria at the time they submit their application, in order to be eligible to sit for the CHRM exam. These requirements are outlined below:

 

  • Hold a Bachelor degree or higher,
  • Hold a Certified Human Resources Manager (CHRM) by HRMI or its,
  • At least 10 years work experience in HRM with 4 years at senior level, and
  • Agree to abide by the HRMI’s Constitution​ and Code of Ethics.

Any applicants with lesser working experience than the above will be reviewed by the HRMI Certification Board to determine the eligibility for the program.

CERTIFICATION ASSESSMENT

In order to get certified:

  • participants must complete education and experience requirements, and
  • provide Business Project Presentation, or
  • attend the Certification Preparation Course and pass the certification exam successfully.

Certification Preparation Course

The program would be conducted in the English Language by one of HRMI Registered Educational Centers (REC).

The HRMI Registered Educational Center (REC), and as such, has the qualifications necessary to offer this course. The course is instructed by certified HRM instructors and has been carefully designed to achieve its goal.
